I Feel So Sorry

by Jane Bond, age 6

There's a lovely place in the churchyard where the flowers bloom all day.
The rabbits are hopping, the butterflies are flying, the birds are singing all day.
There's a lovely place in the churchyard where the grass is long and thin.
The bees buzz, the caterpillars crawl and the ants are scuttling.
There's a lovely place in the churchyard where the flies fly and the bees buzz and the spiders spin their webs.
There's a lovely place in the churchyard where I daydream all day.
I'm so sorry it's going to be cut down.
I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry.

* Rusty Dreamer by Mike Matson is published by Sherston Software.
Jane's poem was inspired by a scene in the story which is set in a churchyard where wildlife is encouraged.
